As Mongolia’s national anti-doping organization we are responsible for implementing an effective program consistent with international requirements and Mongolian legislation.
Our vision
Clean, fair sport
Our purpose
To protect the health of athletes and the integrity of Australian sport by minimizing the risk of doping.
How we achieve our purpose
Mongolia is a signatory to the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport and is required to implement anti-doping arrangements in accordance with the principles of the World Anti-Doping Code (the Code). We collaborate with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), overseas anti-doping organizations and other stakeholders to further the Australian Government’s efforts to strengthen anti-doping practices globally.
Our role and functions are set out in the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority Act 2006, the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority Regulations 2006 and the National Anti-Doping (NAD) scheme. We achieve our purpose through our operating model:
- Assessment: Collect and assess information to understand the doping environment. Use insights to decide what interventions will have the most impact.
- Prioritization: Consider doping risk, government priorities, international obligations, staff capabilities, and partner priorities when deciding what interventions to implement.
- Intervention: Combine and synchronize interventions in focus areas; engagement, deterrence, and detection.
- Evaluation: Collect feedback and evaluate interventions to identify opportunities for improvement.
Our operating model is complemented by our strategic direction, to:
- enhance engagement and partnerships,
- enhance intelligence, and
- enhance education and awareness.

The Corporate Plan sets out our strategic direction and priorities, and how we intend to achieve our purpose over the coming four years.
